ChristLife: an Experience, a Journey, a Mission!

The ChristLife evangelization process is a proven method of igniting the new evangelization by providing a relational context that forms missionary disciples at the parish level. ChristLife makes missionary disciples by helping people discover Jesus Christ personally, follow Him in their daily lives as Catholic Christian disciples, and share Him with others.  Please click here for an in depth overview of the entire ChristLife course.

ChristLife is designed to be repeated and become the “core curriculum” for evangelizing and forming adults as missionary disciples. Once a person discovers Jesus, begins to follow Him, and learns to share Him, they want to invite more people on a life-changing adventure with Jesus Christ!  There are three essential steps to ChristLife: Discovering Christ, Following Christ, and Sharing Christ.  Join us for this experience, journey and mission!

Fall Session: Discovering Christ.  Discovering Christ is a seven-week experience that invites every person, baptized or unbaptized, to encounter the love of God the Father, enter into or renew a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as God’s children. We all know people in our lives, communities, and even parishes who wonder about the meaning of life. God gives us the responsibility to open doors and provide spaces of encounter with the personal love of our Lord Jesus for people who are searching for the meaning of life. Discovering Christ creates this open door for anyone who is searching for the meaning of their lives and provides an opportunity to share the Good News and the personal love of Jesus Christ. Length: seven weekly sessions, with a one-day weekend retreat after week five.  Discovering Christ: Come for the Experience!

Winter Session: Following Christ. Following Christ is a seven-week journey that inspires those who have completed Discovering Christ to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ by learning and growing in basic disciplines and truths practiced by Christians since the early Church. After encountering the personal love of Jesus Christ, people are hungry to dive into their new or renewed relationship with Him in the context of community. Following Christ provides the tools to help Catholics grow in discipleship, including daily personal prayer, hearing God in Scripture, the power of the sacraments, forgiving one another, spiritual warfare, etc. Length: seven weekly sessions, with a one-day weekend retreat after week five.   All who have discovered Christ are invited to follow Christ ever more deeply as Intentional Disciples. Following Christ: Stay for the Journey!

Spring Session: Sharing Christ.  Sharing Christ is a seven-week mission that equips those, who have completed discovering and sharing  Christ, with practical skills to proclaim the Gospel through friendship evangelization, draw others into a personal relationship with Jesus, and invite them to become His disciples as members of the Church.  Our faith journey can’t stop with encountering the life-changing love of Jesus Christ and growing as His disciples. We are called to share the Good News with others! Evangelization must become the everyday lifestyle for Christians if the Church is to become a vibrant evangelical witness in our culture once again. Sharing Christ equips Catholics with the practical skills to proclaim the Gospel and invite others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Length: six weekly sessions, concluding with a special one-day weekend retreat.  Sharing Christ: Go forth on a Mission!

About ChristLife

ChristLife equips Catholics for the essential work of evangelization so that all people might personally encounter Jesus Christ and be transformed into His missionary disciples. ChristLife, from the Archdiocese of Baltimore, partners with parishes, priests, religious and lay leaders who are seeking to answer the Church’s call to a new evangelization through a proven method of parish evangelization and outreach. The ChristLife evangelization process is a relational way to make missionary disciples by helping people discover, follow, and share Jesus Christ.   Come for the experience!  Stay for the journey!  Go forth on a mission!  Experience New Life in Christ, and pursue a Catholic Christian lifestyle with us in the parish community of Saint Daniel Church.

ChristLife fulfills this unique mission in four ways: personally evangelizing in our communities, producing resources for the ChristLife evangelization process, presenting training events, and partnering with Catholics to build a network of evangelizers. ChristLife is building a network of prayer, support, and communion in the Church’s mission of evangelization. ChristLife is more than a ministry, but a growing community of missionary disciples united in our love for Jesus and commitment to evangelize.
